Just got off the phone with my uncle who is the General Manager of Lemay recycling in Lakewood and he said it must be a stray dog but he hasn't seen it!

i can how it could easily be mistaken for a wolf,   i still think it looks like a wolf,  but i wouldn't know for sure.  would a stray dog have a den with bones around it?

Sure they would, most dogs still have the wild instinct, and you have a dog on the loose that is so geneticcly close to a wolf that it might as well be one now. You should contact the game department because they will want to euthenize it if it is killing deer.

I would like to see this so called den first but my uncle says highly unlikely that it has bones from the land fill as each day they are required to constantly cover and pack the garbage and recycling with a material call Auto Fluff. It is recycled auto interiors and it keeps down the smell and compacts tightly so to discourage vermin from getting to the garbage and making homes in the landfill ... My suspicion is that this was a one time incident that someone had taken a pic of and made up the story to go with it, think about it what looks better???
"Stray dog living in the Lakewood land fill" Or "Wolf living at the Lakewood landfill" ???  :dunno: There wouldn't be a story on the stray dog!!!
