I read somewhere on another thread that in this state if a buck is shot on private property that the shooter gets something like a $300 dollar trespassing fine and still gets to keep the animal. Now supposedly this guy gets the deer taken, his rifle taken, and will get a large fine and possibly hunting rights taken away. Why is the Oregon laws so much more strict than Washington's, or were the original threads that I read incorrect.

thats one big ass blacktail, and lets all remember folks he got this in an email which probably means forward which means this could be a totally legit kill that someone started sending around last i checked osp does not have blue pickup trucks
The story is true, a local guy shot it on private property without permission.  It happened last Saturday about 10 minutes from my house.  The buck and rifle were confiscated.  Think I heard it was green scored around 158 and change.

OSP has switched over to blue pick-ups.

WOW Need i say more?
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Wow that is one big beautiful buck. Sad there are people out there that have to cheat to get a trophy.

 >:( >:(

That makes me as mad as the scum poachers who shoot more game than they are allowed here in WA.  There are a lot of poachers who don't tag their animals or they just get another tag.

Dang poachers!
