anybody find nontypical sheds?
« on: November 07, 2009, 01:13:59 PM »
Just wondering if anyone has found any nontypical sheds. If so and you have a pic I'd like to see it. I've found a lot of sheds but not any that were nontypical.
Just one more day

Took a buddy out, this is his first shed ever.

I've hunted almost everyday of my life, the rest have been wasted.

set I found a couple years ago.  More of a freak than non-typ.  Stickslinger has one off of this buck as well.

A couple years ago i found a double main beam elk roosevelt drop horn. I've showed it to BTKR and if I remember right, theres a photo of it on the here in one of his posts from a couple weeks ago. I had it scored at the puyallup hunting show the year after i found it and it scored 168!! Seems like I find a couple drop horns every year (except this year  :'( )  and its the only nontypical shed I have ever found.

Nice!!!    I've spent days searching around for other side of the one I found. Mine came from a pretty remote area so more thank likely a human never took it and its laying there somewhere.

I found one once. I think is had like 7 points.  It ended up being 90% bondo and shoe polish though. Someone was up to no good. Pretty sure its a member too :chuckle:

I wish I would have had that on video. Oh wait I do.  :IBCOOL:

It will circulate someday. Waiting for the righ time.

For the record, I would have been excited about 220"+ non-typical too.  :chuckle:

Here is one of my favorites.

And with the match I found the next spring 50 yds away.  :bash:

Nice Lowedog!  Brings back memories of actually having the chance of finding horns of his size.

No kidding!  Most bucks like that these days are hounded from the time they hit winter range till they drop!
