Are you talking deer?

Try calling the BURGESS family....I am sure they will give you the EXACT where abouts of the elk......considering they are all on there privet land or tied to trees!!! LOL
If you are hunting that herd.....it is a needle in a haystack! Sometimes if we get enough snow they will get pushed down out of the BURGESS land.....but not this year!

There’s an elk herd in Chiwawa?  Other than the odd lost animal that wanders across Highway 2 occasionally?

Ya there is a herd...mostly spread out....but a few animals....used to be a much bigger herd but now there aren't very many.....like I said though....you can find them tied to trees on the BURGESS property along Chiwawa Loop Rd.!

They cross Nason Cr. from Kahler (round mtn.) to the Natapoc and the are off the Plain Hwy., River Road and off of the Chiwawa river.  I have seen them up the White River road.  Of course Burgess keeps an eye on them.  They are not always on private. Needle in a hay stack.  Good luck!
