Arrow choice

I am curious to know what most archers are hunting with, and is there a noticeable difference at getting full pass thru's with carbon hunting arrows compared to aluminum with the same broadheads?

I still shoot cedar, aluminum along with carbon.  All work well with good shot placement and razor sharp broadheads.

I use cedar also, the broadhead makes a big enough hole that the diameter of the shaft is pretty insignificant. weight and velocity are more important

i have and still use alum and wood hell, i even have made primative shafts from a wild rose bush with my turkey feathers that i cut. o and a stone point i knapped myself, but i don't hunt with them i will stick to carbon for my hunting hard to shoot those out of my x force

I use FMJ so I guess both!

started with alum then went to carbon. they just dont bend like the alum ones.

GoldTip Xt Hunters- I've had good luck with them and they are very tough! I think most the carbons are pretty durable. They can be pretty spendy.

Started with wooden shafts with my recurve then went to aluminum.  Switched over to carbon about 5 years ago and love them.  The deer and elk that I have taken with my bow have all been pass throughs.  They seem to work well.

Carbon, Easton Epic's. They bounce, not bend

Axis FMJ. Was was shooting the nanos and switched up for the increased weight. Only problem, I think they have a " memory". Had 1 bend after being held in the same curve for a while. Anyone else had this problem with the FMJ.

the aluminum in a FMJ will bend if held too long i've heard.
