dbllinger is correct. If you paid for bad service you are allowed to say you felt you got bad service and state the name of the company. He did sell you a service and you feel you got the short end of the stick.

Please advise your hunting family for we do not do this. It is not slander. I went to mickydees the other day and I didn't like the service, the cashier barely spook any english. See it is legal to tell others of bad service.

No license requirement in WA to be a hunting guide.  Anyone can do it.  Sounds like you paid someone to guide you to a deer, and you shot a deer where he put you.  In a way we completed his end of the bargain.  That being said he sounds like a serious loser who took advantage of you. You should post his name up if you feel it will protect another hunter from paying for these services.  There is nothing that he can do about that, and if he does not want bad press then provide a quality hunt.  Also please post up what you paid for the hunt.

Thanks for the clarification.  I was under the impression if you made money from providing guiding services, you had to have a license so the gov can take their cut...  good info to know!

not to state the obvious(maybe) but you should post negative feedback on his ebay site at a minimum.

Wow, you got a bad deal all around. I myself like already said would post his name. Like said he provided a service and you were unhappy with it, nothing wrong in that.

And he screwed up your deer cape, you got it bad all the way around.

He didn't  have a name for his guide service.  His initials are S.S. from Spokane.  He is a Fireman/Paramedic/Plastic Surgeons Assistant.

I have had 4 people guess tell me his name since posting this.

Is this the one that is also trying to get people to buy his elk hunts??

And there I did not even say his name :)

Head-butt him and barry him alive in the 3000 acres he leased.  Sounds a lot like somebody I know, who unfortunately is a member of this site, and actually posted a response on this thread.  Congrats on the buck though, I would shoot him for sure.  By the way sir, you are a trooper for doing all that with a busted leg!

something about that pic leads me on to believe it was a cut and paste deal. if it was from his computer you would think it would be bigger. i clicked on it and it was pretty small. i thik this is just a guy who has seen some elk and wants to make money off of people. i personally think he is a bit of a scam

That's the one BLKBEARKLR!

The deal with the elk hunt is that there are 28 cows, a 6x6, and a 5x5.  I don't know much more that he had 2 guys out there already who quit and went home after 2 days.  I was pissed and didn't ask why?

Here is the hunt I bought.  It says muzzle loader, but I talked to him before I bought it and worked the same price for Modern Firearm.

If he was upfront and honest about not knowing anything about hunting, I could of helped him out.

The bottom line is that he has access to some property where deer live.  Ok, put up a blind next to some heavily used deer trails in August.  Throw some corn out there when it is legal, set a trail camera pointed at the bait pile, and tell me what is out there.

I have 2 Bushnell mini's set out. Me and a coworker of mine have all the Blacktail deer named.  We have an Excell spreadsheet showing when the bucks as well as does come by.  We also have a Black Bear and a Bobcat on video.

I booked the hut in Spokane before we had permission to hunt this piece close to home.

I am from Michigan.  We get to hunt 2 bucks, and sometimes 1 doe a day for 90+ days.  Rifle season is only 2 weeks but archery is from October 1st until January 3rd.  I wish I could archery hunt here for 3 months even if I only get to shoot 1 deer.

I think the price would have tipped me off.  But I've seen people pay a lot more than that and come home with nothing.  There's a saying " you get what you pay for".

My friends dad booked an Eastern Washington elk hunt off of ebay earlier this fall, I don't know if it was the same guy, but who he was with, he hunted all day, it got dark, the guide said camp was just over the next ridge, well, it wasn't, they ended up going 6 miles in the dark, the guide didn't have a flash light, eventually they hit the highway, and hitchhiked back to town.  Could be the same..

That guide would not have made it to the fricken highway with me, he would still be out there trying to figure out what happened to him.

300MAGNUM, sorry you got a bum deal out of this, at least people are aware of him now. And what kind of shady crap he is doing. Hopefully it does not happen to another member.

Yeah I am thinking you got taken.  Why would anyone try and cape a deer that had never even skinned on befor.  Depending on the damage it can more than likely be repaired.  I never say "can" til I see the damage.  Don't like getting peoples hopes up.

Here is a Bear Rug I did several months ago that required something like 137" of sewing.  That did not include the wedges in the arm pits that every bear rug gets.

Price is often an indicator of what you will get, unfortunately.  At least you got a buck though, it could have been much worse.  I wonder how many adds off of Craigslist are similiar jokers?

google his phone # 509-385-1561
it looks like the guy is selling whitetail, turkey and elk hunts on more than just ebay and is also maybe a brittany spaniel breeder selling dogs.

First off, I'm in no way sticking up for the guy, but for just the private land access you can pay TWICE that amount.  Now I understand some things were agreed upon, but I don't see how this was a big rip off, myself.  $500 for private land access in the rifle season is actually better then the going rate.  Plus you got a respectable buck, I wouldn't feel TOO bad.  Just my 2 cents.
