Which GMU Would You Hunt And Why?
« on: November 09, 2009, 05:46:21 PM »
Need some assistance from you guys. I have three GMU choices to hunt late buck modern firearm and I'm not sure which one to choose. 654, 667 and 510. I am most familier with 654 but haven't had much luck there in the past two years. The cabin is near the Alder Lake area. Which one would you pick and why? Thanks in advance for the help! :hello:

I would say 654 because that's the GMU I'm not hunting.

I'd say 654 because that's the GMU you know best.  If you want to branch out to new GMU's the week before the season starts isn't the best time to do it.  Hunt where you know best.

Yeah, I saw the thread about this amazing buck! I have hunted Entiat area in the past with great results so I know the eastside is loaded with great bucks. Always wanted to hunt Chewuch but time and resources always got in the way. Good luck to you if you still haven't filled your tag! :chuckle:

I have scouted 510 and 667 so I am familiar with those areas, just haven't hunted them. 654 was so busy last year with 4x4's racing around and we didn't see one buck the whole time. My hunting partner is disabled and he put in for the disabled hunter access this year but didn't get drawn for a gate key. Just trying to figure out a good area for him to nail one. Gotta try to get him far back in there somehow. Thanks for the advice, I agree 654 should be the one. :hello:
