my friend ted fry at raptor archery sells carbon trad shafts they are taperd carbons big in front small in back they fly great and pack a real puch to them they are my faves

joebear, the character of your selfbow is cool.

I am nowadays shooting carbon express heritage. They seem accurate and sturdy. Have also used cedar shafts for a long time. Did shoot a dumb grouse on the trail in front of me with an old easton aluminum arrow and thumper earlier this fall.

i shoot a martin hunter.  60 lbs

currently shooting POC shafts with a 125 grain zwickey but my winter project is to make the switch to a 145 or 160 BH and ash shafts for a little more oomph.

i've made a few bows and am currently working on a r/d longbow with brown glass and a zebra riser.  we'll see how it turns out.

Im shooting a 45# PSE Impala, along with a 68# selfbow, and 70# recurve, and 55# recurve, two 48# long bows reflex deflex... All bows I built, shooting home made cedar shafts, And broadheads I built on a press...
Will hunt for food
