Dandy buck for sure!

FYI, you might want to tell your buddie's friend that it is illegal to possess that deer head unless he took it from the carcass during a valid hunting season and put a valid tag on it that corresponds with that season. ie; if the buck was killed by a car during rifle season, he can take the animal as long as it's open in that area and he puts his rifle tag on it.

Not saying I don't know people that have done it, just figured i'd let ya know.

You can only posses them if naturally shed.  You would probably have to get approval from a State or Federal game warden for removal and not a sheriff.  I guess you could try to win the argument that the deer shed its head off.   :dunno:

:chuckle:  I've yet to see a naturally shed "deer head", with the exception of those resulting from two bucks getting locked up and the live deer kicking it off.
