The peds on mine were still a little bloody so maybe the day before :dunno:

Joe and I saw a few about 4 days before that that had dropped one side as well and I saw one the day after turkey day that had dropped both. Joe said he has seen it happen a few times before but this would be two years in a row Doug, kinda weird.  :dunno:

That is weird.  I know some would say that is a poor indicator to their health, or herd health

Lets hope not. Another heavy snow winter would be devastating to our herds, and flocks. Only the packs would benefit :bdid:.

Probably the same thing Rob.  Stress causes an unhealthy herd.  I agree Bird, we do not need a bad winter, just the moisture.

I wonder why Washington drops before Alaska.  Ft Richardson used to get alot of Bulls from the mountain during winter and seems like it wouldn't be till near Christmas and the first of the year when people wouple find sheds?

Yup, same here.  I make comments so they come up in "new replies" and I can remember to check them later...

Are there any Blacktail shed hunters out there? is it even worth it? If so, when do you start hunting?
