any day now, Dan.

Sorry about the delay, been busy cutting up deer and making sausage.

On day one we covered as much area as the daylight would allow, essentially the whole unit, trying to get an idea where we were at in the rut/migration. The bucks were definitely rutting at all elevations. We saw a monster 4 by 0 early on day one way up high chasing a doe. He wouldn’t slow down so I could get his picture through. It had a huge 4pt on one side and the other side was completely missing. We would have filled the tag early in day one if he would have had a similar horn on the other side. I estimate we saw 25 bucks this day.

Day two was similar to day one in that we were seeing lots of buck but not a lot of bigger ones. About mid-day we came up on a doe out in an opening. We started looking around and this buck was right behind her.

We sat and watched the buck for several minutes then went on with the hunt. Later in the day, after seeing lots of smaller bucks, my buddy wanted to go back and take a look at the buck from earlier. We get back to the general area and found him with several does. Here he is behind a tree.

I was just quietly taking pictures and messing with camera settings and KAABOOOOM. It scared the :crap: out of me. The deer immediately dropped in its tracks.

The great part of it all was the recovery only required a short drag "DOWNHILL" to the truck. Here are some other deer that allowed me to take their pics. Seems like a lot more whitetail this year.

They both looked like they wanted the muley doe and weren't leaving her.
