Elk shoulder Mount Options

I am doing a shoulder mount for my elk this year and was hoping to get some suggestions on what would look good.  I was hoping some of the Taxi's would offer their opinions since they see them all the time.  I put a vaulted ceiling in the living room when I built the addition that is 16 ft at the peak, so height isnt an issue.  I was thinking something that turned to the left, but let me know what you think.

I like a sneak or semi-sneak pose, slight turn left or right.  This minimizes wall space and highlights the the details of the face.  I'm not a big fan of bugling poses.

I'm not a fan of the bugling poses either.  I guess I should have mentioned that.

-I'm in the same dilemma, I'm liking this one pose the best I think, its a left turn with the head sorta looking down and it really showes off the top tines of my bulls rack, bucklucky may have a pic of the pose, But I'm still not 100% sure yet. Sorry BL, lol!

It kind of goes without saying but walk through your house and figure out where you want it or where it will best fit.  For example, a left turn pose will look funny if it doesn't look into the room or open space.  If you might move in the future, you might consider a more straight-on or very slight turn to get the most versatility in the future.

That is a great bull and will make a great mount.  Congrats again!

My living room is roughly 20x24 with 9 ft walls and vaulted ceiling.  The peak is at 16 ft.

I know exactly what form you should think about putting that bad boy on. Ill get ya a picture for ya. It will show off the width of that bull real well. Its a real nice relaxed sneak look.

Go with something different
 Research came out with a sight OM 45 degree semi sneak. It's very distinctave looking and not allot of them around. Check them out on their web site

This is the Research 45 degree slight open mouth you are refering to. It is altered a bit .

Hey Hunt, this is the form I thought would look good on your bull. Sorry I dont have any finished pics quite yet, but I will post those soon......I hope  I didnt get a straight on shot though. It looks real nice with a cape on it.

Here is a full sneak that really shows off the width on a bull. I got a picture of a bull somewhere that kind of resembles yours. I'll have to find it though. There is alot of head modifacations on this form to get it to look right though.

That big six that is not finished has some incredible tine length! Is that a Washington bull?
