I got a look at that buck on my way home! What a bruiser!

When I first drove by there I watched down towards the river, and about a quarter of a mile from the reactor sign (coming from Othello), I spotted four deer feeding in the sage right outside the brush against the river. I pulled off at the reactor sign and then drove back up the road to where I could see them. As I passed slowly I honked once and he threw his head up.
WOW! He had super mass and I could see eyeguards with my naked eye from about 250 yards. He looked taller than he was wide to me, so if he was 27" wide, holy smokes!

I got up to the next turnaround and fished my camera out so I'd be ready to snap a picture on the way by again. When I drove by again though I could just see one ass in the brush, apparently the horn spooked them off. . . Thought for sure they'd be used to traffic and it wouldn't bother them.

I snapped a picture on the fly anyways, hoping the one deer that was in the picture was the buck, but unfortunately it was one of the does.
