Im partial to Whidbey, seeing how I live there. There are some bigger ( not BIG ) bodied deer here, but I have seen alot of nice racked bucks in the past that were no bigger body size than a small dog. Never hunted orcas, so I cant really help you out on that one.

Good luck with what ever option you choose.

Now I just need late Muzzle to start so I can fill my two tags.

I have hunted the the islands quite a bit...hit Orcas Island for sheer numbers...meat for your freezer. But there is very little public land there.  I have shot some nice bucks off of Widbey Island during the late season.  I am a deer hunter and not a horn hunter...I am htting the San Juans in the morning to fill my second deer tag.  First deer I see...dead deer and I will eat every piece..YUMMY
Find them, catch em, kill em, eat em!!!

I got an archery tag i'd like to fill with a blacktail, not picky, pm me info if you want..
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

Ok.  Here you go.  Its not a monster but is better than tag soop.  He had a doe with him.  He had one eye guard but he broke it off at some point.  This is the third deer from the same spot.
I hunt therefore I am.

I don't really know where I was. There were a whole bunch of old army barrecks around and he was standing in the middle of a soccer field :chuckle:
Just kidding. It was on the south end.

I did see a really nice 4x4 with his nose in a does butt about 10 yards from one of the old buildings at Fort Casey last year.
I hunt therefore I am.
