Hoyt carbon matrix!

I can't believe know one is talking about this bow. This bow is the first of it's kind. I have not shot one (can't wait) yet but the talk is that is awesome. At 3.9 lbs it is almost a pound lighter than any hunting bow I have seen. 35 inch axle to axle with a 7.25 brace height and I hear it is super smooth to draw. Price tag is steep,I hear around $1500 bow only! Check it out at let me know what you all think.

supposed to be super accurate! Less flex with the carbon riser which makes it a better shooter

I was at the shop the other day and was told they had 1 in for less than a day,guy dropped $2500! When I get a new bow I usually spend around $1500 but that is for a total set up!

I want to shoot one but I don't at the same time. I don't want to want one! It's like looking into a pair of Swarovski!

i saw one at the nock point a couple weeks ago. they sold the 1 they had for $1700.00 and Bill said he's not a hoyt guy but that bow would change his mind...i will say that a bare bow for $1700 it better be awesome.

I am not impressed. Personally this bow for being made out of carbon is not light at all. There are other bows out on the market that weigh less than this one and they aren't made out of carbon and they are half the price. Just a gimmick to sell more bows in my opinion. 35" ATA and 3.9#. The 82nd Airborne by Bowtech 4.1# and is 36" ATA. I just don't see the point of getting that excited over a bow that really is no different than the rest except for the price.

No different? Did you even look at it? Until I shoot it, I can't say if it is a gimmick or not. To me, it is exciting to see innovation. Bow companies are not just settling for "that is good enough" but trying to set the bar year in and year out. This is what has pushed bows to where they are today.

I do agree about the price being steep but carbon fiber anything is double the price.

What do you all think about the overall look of it? I don't really think it looks all that good but again,I have not seen one in person.

Other than being made out of Carbon Fiber what is different about the bow? I didn't see anything significantly different. Shoots 318fps, has a generous brace height and is pretty light weight for a bow that is 35" ATA. But not much better compared to other bow manufacturers to justify charging twice the price. It is twice the price of the Hoyt Matrix 35 and the only difference between the carbon model is the weight. Why spend 1500 dollars vs. 750-800 dollars for virtually the same bow. I can't see the carbon model shooting any better than the one that is made out of aluminum. In this economy I don't think to many people are going to be buying the carbon matrix.

I don't care for the look of the riser at all from the picture at least. Might look better in person but don't know.

From what I hear the bow has NO hand shock at all and is whisper quite. Think about it, a aluminum bow is basically a tuning fork. Bow companies have tried to eliminate hand shock and noise but you can only do so much with the material you are using. Carbon fiber does not vibrate like metal resulting in no hand shock and the least amount of noise. This is a huge step forward in eliminating what archers have been trying to do since the first aluminum bow hit the market.

When was the last time you saw a riser look like this.

Although carbon fiber is very strong when bent, it is very prone to cracking when struck. I am keeping an open mind about this bow until I shoot one but I don't want a bow exploading in my hand. I have purchased Hoyt bows for 4 straight years and know how they pride themself in making a very strong hunting bow. This was one of my hang ups I was having when I made the switch to mathews this year. I didn't know if the Reezen was as tough of a bow as the alphamax. So far so good!
