Ruger single six
« on: November 20, 2009, 06:27:35 PM »
So i was looking at these guns, and they look identical to the revolver i got. But i've only shot .22 LR out of it and i was reading you can shoot 22 mag out of it too. Do any of ya have one of these or know if i need to buy a different cylinder for the 22 mag? Great little revolver so far, just wish it had a swing out cylinder, love revolvers cause of those.. hehe
Make every shot count cause ya might not get another.

I have my grandpa's old single six, and it does have 2 cylinders.  Haven't even shot it yet.

Yes you can, but it's not worth it. Several years ago I was told $90. Then add in shipping both ways so they can fit it to your revolver. Try to find a used cylinder and try it out on your gun. That's what I did and it works just fine.
