My PF-9 shoots just fine...
Well, I'm glad you like it. The one's I've handled had trigger pull as long as a locomotive, and steers like 1959 VW Bug. The slappy report is like a hard tail chopper on Ballard's worst chuck hole strewn side streets. Sorry, the few that I've had in my hand left a lot to be desired. Yes, I'm a 1911 fan. Hand me a Baretta and I'll shoot it, but I'll eventually give it back. The keltec pistols just remind me of a bunch of Lego's melted with some Bic pen springs and a twisted piece of galvanized conduit resulting in massive trigger takeup, side slop, over travel and buckshot groups at 25yds. I have snub nose revolvers that out shoot any Keltec I've had the 'pleasure' to fire.
Not to rob the thunder of the original post about this new fangled model that will supposedly feed/cycle and shoot the 22mag. If it does so, 'well',
that would be cool. Really! But accuracy of 22wm in a short barrel (the cartridge is loaded for and designed for longer rifle barrels) should not be anything to write home about. For the MSRP I would stick with tried and proven 22LR pistols like the Buckmark or Ruger MKII until the reports are out, well after the shot show de'bu. I look at that pmr-30 and wonder what sort of holster it would fit. Maybe one of those Zytel speed holsters? Surely not gonna get that thing into any sort of comfortable leather.
im curious how all you guys know that the gun is going to be a jam o matic when its not even out yet do you have some sort of crystal ball?
I hope we're wrong! Really. But I spend a lot of time at the pistol range throughout the year. I see people shooting all sorts of firearms. I see reliability in quality arms, and I see a lot of frustrated shooters just the same. I keep an eye out for what works, and what doesn't. Certain brands.. Not just models, stand out.
This hybrid blow back/locked breech system may be inovative, but I look at it like something that's over engineered. It's got two extractor's for crying out loud.
Never have had a problem with my AMT as long as i was feeding it winchester ammo somthing to do with the powder.
That's because the 22wm is loaded with a slow burning powder designed for use in longer rifle barrels. Some brands of ammo when fired may not develope the pressure quick enough to blow the slide back and cycle the action. The Winchester must be just fast enough to function your AMT reliably.
