I've bumped into them a few times with no problems. The ones I have met are from other areas coming over for day trips.

i was stopped in cheney with a deer in the truck and one asked me if i was shooting RUFFED grouse down in the revere area south of sprauge lake! i asked if he had ever seen a RUFFED grouse in the sagebrush down there and he said "i dont know where that is" this warden works this area.just thought he should know a little more about the area he works in. seems like the new generation is out to get hunters anyway they can these days.i just think they should be on our side.

They are on our side, thats why they are asking questions first.

Did have a biologist tell me that he wished the game wardens had more natural resources type training requirements so they could identify the games animals better :dunno:

we had issues with a gamie up on colockum trying to cite  my nephew for having a loaded rifle in the vehicle just because Nano held a single round in his sleeve (as he has always done).
Nano was moving the rifle he had between his legs in the rig when we pulled up on the gamies truck, trying to get out the gamie yelled to remain in the vehicle!
Excuse me, we stopped to talk to you mr gamie, not the other way around.

Turned out he was a first year rookie with a chip on his shoulders.
Hell, if they would have looked at me (the white guy) i was packing hot loads under my jacket, in my truck while driving down the road (CPL). they could have had fun with that one lol! (or the other way around when i handed them my weapons permit before they started writing lol!)

TANNERITE needed for target practice on opening day of each hunting season.

You haven't had problems with a game warden until you meet the fine Warden Cram in Republic. He was chased out of Fork after years of harrassing everyone over there and now I hear he is real popular up in Republic. Biggest prick you will ever meet. Likes to pull his gun on teenagers. Still traumatized by that.
Most of them got there lunch money taken in school!

Cram is a legend out here on the OP, I'm glad to see him on the other side of the state but I never had any problems with him, just don't try to crack a joke about doing something questionable, he takes everything seriously and is by the book !!

I heard a story someone wrestled him to the ground took his gun belt off and threw it into the front of his drift boat along with his radio and cell phone then hand cuffed Cram to the back of the boat and sent him down the river. Maybe just a rumor but I have heard it from a couple different folks !!!
The essense of freedom is the proper limitation of government !!!

just wondering? hearing some pretty funny stories about them not knowing what they are taling about.
...which is also a valid tactic to see if the hunter knows wtf he shot, especially when it comes to bird hunting. Course then its hard to tell which one really doesn't have a clue and which one does  :chuckle:

Never had a problem with them myself, don't do anything against the book, most hunters that bitch about them are generally pricks themselves. Only issue I have with wardens is that we need about 3x as many, possibly catch more of the damn migrants poaching animals when they're suppose to be picking bear grass or whatever it is their gathering.

IF you can find anyone from Fork/Clallam Bay or Republic/Curlew that says a good thing about Warden Cram, I will publicly apoligize on here to him. Anyone who sticks his handgun in a teenagers face is a bonified punk. Did it to more than one. On one occasion he did it to two friends of mine who were 16 and shooting there 22's in a pit. Then he conficated there jack and lung wrench because he had a flat tire. He tought they were suspicious and because they were not cooperating, he pulled his gun. He was reported and the game department said because they had 22's, he was justified. Forks isn't Compton!
He also pulled is gun on me and five other guys in high school because we also were not cooperating.
I'm pretty familiar with the laws, not cooperating isn't a threat! The guy is a genuine BRICK!
I need here some fellas put his truck in neutral at a boat launch on the Columbia and rolled his rig in the Columbia. Could be a rumor. Being from Clallam Bay, I know his mailbox had some fireworks in Forks.
