oh for sure, I forgot to mention my new hunting buddy. PJB is a fun guy to hunt with if you get the chance.

"PJB"  Does that stand for peanut jelly and butter?? :)

I think I'll take the steelhead, the family likes them better than ducks.....  I once got a double on geese while trolling for salmon on the Umpqua River in OR, best of both worlds!  The birds don't seem to flare away from fishing boats as much as they do camoed ones.

Congrats on the birds.

I'm about 15 minutes away from the sultan launch. Didn't catch one myself seen a few caught though. Was more or less goofing around with my fly rod. Would love to hit the river in a sled. Been awhile since I've been out on that stretch. :fishin:

man the hunting was hard and slow today. tossed 120 deeks for a reward of one immature wood duck. at least i got my first wood duck, LOL. Hard work on the water though... given, we passed up a lot of pass shooting, but even if we had gone after everything we probably wouldn't have had more than a total of 6 birds between the 2 of us.

Yeah did some checking around and seems a lot of birds flew south. The normal holes that hold a lot of birds were empty. But any day hunting or my case fishing is worth it.
