Nocking point?
« on: November 28, 2009, 10:43:52 PM »
My nocking point is about 3\8" above the bottom of my rest, this seems kind of odd to me having my arrow tilted down like that. I was just wondering if that was a common thing? The bow shoots nice and straight, is tuned well and groups well out to 60yds.  I have a Diamond Iceman bow (single cam) in 70#draw and 27.5 draw lenth. QAD ultrarest, release with a loop. Im shooting small diameter Easton Axis arrows so it makes the arrow tilt even more. Thanks for any input. :P

most solo cams run nock high..3/8 might be a little high but if it groups good its ok. you can try lowering the nock some and see if it groups any better

Your best off shooting it through paper to see what kind of tear your getting.  If that isnt availiable with the launch arm raised, would nock an arrow and let it rest on the launcher arm.  The center of the arrow should pass through the center of the berger hole(one that bolts the rest to bow).  A tad high of center is a safe bet.  Once that is established you set your nock point level or a pinch high.
