The Tournament:
1. It is shot on a 3-spot Vegas target.
2. Ties will be broken counting x's. In the qualifying shoot phase, if ties are present after counting x's, the shooter that shot the lowest score in the earliest end will lose. In the shoot up phase, if ties are present after counting x's an arrow for arrow shoot off will happen.
3. 'Outside-In' scoring will be used. Arrows that touch the line or plane will count the higher score.
4. A referee will make all final decisions. The referee’s decisions can not be overturned.
5. Any arrow shot ahead of a 10' line will be a shot arrow.
6. If you have equipment failure during the qualifying score phase, you will be allowed the balance of your current end for a time out. There will be no sight in arrows. Make-up arrows will be shot immediately after the 10th end.
7. If you have equipment failure during the shoot up phase, there will be no time allowance for equipment failure. You may have a back up bow ready but your arrows must be shot timely.
8. No arrow larger than a 27diameter will be allowed.
9. During scoring, archers will remain back at least 10' from the target until scoring is complete. Under no circumstances is an archer to touch his arrows or target before the score is counted.
10. If an archer shoots more than 3 arrows in a given end, the lowest 3 arrows will be counted.
11. If an archer fails to shoot an arrow into all 3 spots, the missed arrow will score a 10 for the purpose of flighting. Whatever flight the archer ends up in, he will be placed at the bottom.
A Vegas 300 round will be shot on Saturday morning. Scores will be posted from top to bottom. Shooters will be divided into equal flights with a max of 14 shooters per flight. The Shoot-Up round on Saturday afternoon will determine the winners. The Shoot-Up is a one-on-one elimination consisting of 2 ends on a Vegas target. An arrow for arrow shoot-off will break ties. The shooter with the lowest Saturday score, in each flight, will shoot against the person with the next highest score, etc.. The Shoot-Up continues until all places are established.
The Prizes: Cash prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each flight. Flights will be paid equally except the championship flight. The amounts are determined using a percentage formula. An amount will be withheld from the championship flight to enhance the prize pool for the final tournament.
Registration: Early registration is extremely helpful. By registering early you can reserve your shooting lane assignment. Target positions will not be rotated from top to bottom (or vice versa) at half.
