Push this issue with Wildlife. With an officer on scene to verify your statements, plus your photos...should be an easy case to pursue.

Also, Jumpin, most of the check points will have a warden or two...and then mostly biologists or other non-commisioned staff....

I saw a check point for early season, had a biologist and a volunteer.  No officer at all.  Glad to see even that out here.  Got checked recently by an officer, was the first time in like 15 years.  Real nice guy gave me his card.  When I emailed him about guys on quads and carrying rifles in a restricted area he came right out.  I am sure they (the officers) are doing as much as they can.

I think it is valid and on topic to suggest that there arent enough wardens to be everywhere we need them!!! That was the whole point he called and no one reponded  :dunno: Don't know what makes this off topic??? And Don't know why blamming the goverment for cut backs is doesn't make sense arent they the ones in charge that have made the cut backs to that dept??? And Brandon just for your information before you start blamming the citizens of Seattle for the tunnel you should know that we voted it down! Yes that's right and the legislature passed it any way and Gregoire signed off on it to the tune of 2.8 Billion dollars!!!

And yes I believe that means cut backs in other areas and most of us would like to see that money go to education and law inforcement, which was my point. Again I'll add ... Keep trying to contact the supervisor for that region and present all the facts you have and ask him to look into it, it's not too late for him to make the right decision on this one! Good luck!

Debating whether or not there is enough wardens or not is one thing, but to bring up the viaduct is just a whole different story.  Its just one big f***-story if you ask me...  Seattle wants the State to pay for the whole project, and G-wire/State wants Seattle to pay for it instead.

As for those articles you posted...the first article is from 2007 when citizens voted no on a tunnel and no on a new overhead highway.  It just says G-wire was pushing to "replace the viaduct with a new $2.8 billion elevated highway", not that she went ahead and passed it anyway.

The second article is from May 09, it talks about the new tunnel:  "The plan commits $2.4 billion in state money to the project and adds an additional $400 million in tolling revenue - money that can only be spent tearing down the current structure and building the new one.  The tunnel will cost more than $4 billion. Seattle and King County are responsible for the rest."

Tip you allready apologised for starting something so why did you go there again? and go back and read first of all I wasn't the one who brought up the tunnel Brandon did I only defended the fact that Seattle residents did not vote for it which is why there is an article stating so and second I never said She passed it I said the legislature did and yes that means she eventually has to put her stamp on it!!! My point isn't weather or not there is going to be a tunnel my point is that the Government keeps cutting back Law enforcement $$$!!! My God you guys are amazing read the post before you jump on someone will you
Again back on topic I merely pointed out that the reason Killzelk may have not gotten the response he wanted was maybe there are not enough officers to cover the area and I am encouraging Killzelk to follow up and stay in someones ear with the info he has and hopfully something good will come out of it! ... whats wrong with that?  :dunno:

Yeah, lets stay on topic. Someone wants a tunnel thread, go start one.

Does anyone have any experience contacting wildlife ex-post-facto on an incident like this? Anyone? I cannot imagine that wildlife would not be interested in it, considering all of the evidence provided.

Stay after them, KillzElk.  The poachers deserve more than the punishment they received........and you should get 10 bonus points.
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

This has been turned in not to sure about to WDFW? Gonna take a copy of all these photos and info to the next meeting that is in a few days and give it to them to see how what they might do like prob nothing : (

I would love to hunt them down and to find out how they feel about there murder charges that only cost $200.00  These  poachers deserve more than the punishment they received you all are correct  I am not interested in any bonus points just would like to see some justice just one time Please.. This whole thing is a joke they have gave all of us legal hunters a bad name..

If Mark doesn't seem to care then they are not poachers.  Legal license, although I have no idea if they shot it from the road right-of way, then Mark is the one to complain, if not it is a legal kill during season.

killzelk...are you a hunter? i haven't seen a post you've made on here that was about your hunting ventures. most of which are anti-wdfw, anti-master hunter and anti-a lot of stuff...but no hunting posts or anything positive for that matter. what do you suppose the right thing to do is in this possible trespassing and/or poaching  situation?
