Here is a winter scene taken at Swan Lake, in the Colville National Forest.  The lake was partially frozen over, and so was I, before getting this photograph!

Me, a buddy and CoryTDF on a late elk hunt a few years ago.  Cold.  Deep.  Steep.
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Hey Pathfinder-  Looks like a "brutal" hunt.  Not many places for you, or the elk to hide! :dunno: Did you guys get an elk?

On a short snow shoe trip..  Photo is from my cell phone. I do not have means to adjust the resolution.
