A 4 years ago my duck hunting buddy and I were driving to the Mustard seed of of NE 8th... On the way back to his apartment complex we saw the biggest damn Coyote I've ever seen running down NE 8th in Bellview! I'm talking not that far from 405... 3 lanes each way center turn lane and soundwalls close!  :yike:

The Canadian Gray wolves belong where they came from, hunting game that they evolved hunting, Where people hunt, trap, and kill the hell out of them every chance they get. Not down here in the lower 48 where they are petted and told they can kill off all the game herds, peoples livestock and then if they want some extra fun they can kill our dogs and chickens. >:( >:( >:(
you know that we share a border with canada right... they belong here too, they evolved here too...the wolves we are seeing are not ynp wolves of canadian origin.  how many times should we go over this?

So what you are saying is the wolves that we have and are seeing all over the Methow are not from Canada, nor are they from the YNP. Our wolves evolved right here in the Methow?  I think its time for you to check back in with s.fitkin.  I think fitkin was in search of his wolves yesterday, I thought about calling him up and telling him to check behind Hanks Market. Nice helicopter they were flying around in.
what i said was they are not ynp wolves of Canadian origin...they are BC wolves...of Canadian origin...why is this so difficult to comprehend?
helicopters now...you better polish up your tinfoil helmet and pull all your fillings, the ominous THEY are coming for you.  I got an Idea- hide in that culvert turned wolf trap for a while!  a little bait might bring those wolves right in.  :)

So now you are saying that the wolves that were turned loose in the YNP were Canadian wolves, but the wolves that are in the Methow are not Canadian wolves? How exactly does that work, do they get a special stamp after the wolves hit the YNP? The wolves that we have in the Methow are Canadian grey wolves. Some of them even have GPS collars. Fitkin said that we are getting wolves that are migrating from Idaho and Montana, do you think that maybe some of them might have gotten mixed up with the ynp wolves of Canadian origin? I wonder if they know that their original Canadian wolves turned ynp wolves are getting all mixed up with BC wolves.  :dunno:Could you maybe put a call into your biologist friends and ask them for me. I would but you know how I am. :yike:

Its pretty laughable to think that the wolves in washington are not genetically related to Yellowstone stock.  This is where the science comes in... one of the crooked bios takes a look at the DNA tests and sees that 15% is BC wolf and declares it a BC wolf even though 85% of the DNA is of undeterminable origin...AKA Yellowstone.

I should have made an effort to be more clear about the methow wolves- they are still gray wolves, only they are a BC halotype that is smaller than the YNP animals and often has red behind the ears and red legs.  It's sometimes referred to as a 'red legged' wolf.
DNA Evidence is collected and sent to a Lab in CA for results...the bios don't pack around pockets full of wolf hair/blood/scat to seed the DNA results, they want to know and understand the actual origin and gain a better understanding of the situation.  There is no conspiracy.

The wolves in Washington (the ones we know about) are not of yellowstone origin, but they are of Canadian origin (mostly?) the Pend Orelle alpha male is a known Glacier NP wolf, but no DNA info was collected on the female- info on the pups was collected, but i have no idea about the results (the female should be identified with the pups and sires info).

For some reason I do not understand, the huggers worship all predators.  :dunno:

The Wolves in the M Valley are Canadian gray wolves, very same as the YNP wolves. The red wolf is a cross between the gray wolf and a coyote; red wolves are a recognized species. Over a long period of time they became recognized as a species as long as they bred with their own kind (red wolf to red wolf). The red wolves were reintroduced by the USFWS first in North Carolina. The problem is that they have a very low survival rate because of habitat and they also readily breed with coyotes. Breeding with coyotes dilutes the species and will remove them from the ESA. Gray wolves breeding with coyotes produces "Super Coyotes", which produces a smaller wolf and also the red markings. I would imagine that all of the state that the gray wolves have been dumped in have some super coyotes by now.
