No Elk this year, but it was a cool camp...
« on: December 02, 2009, 05:21:26 PM »
hunted east side up near the Naches river this year.  (modern rifle, just slow to post due to work).

Had a great time even though the elk bugged out before we got there, but it was a bit chilly for being in a tent...  I guess this is what is known as a character builder.

Looks like that tent kept you warm and dry. You are one tough guy.

Wow that is a lot of stuff packed in that little tent. The hardest part about that kind of camping is the time between when you wake up and get out of your sleeping bag and get dressed... burrr! At least you had a cot to sleep on!

I picked up one of those buddy heaters (and a CO detector) and it keeps that tent toasty warm.  I was actually very comfortable.  It was the massive winds the week before that were brutal.  It was only my fat backside that kept the tent from blowing away.

It was a fun hunt even if we did not see any Elk.  Always nice to get out.

Looks like great hunting weather.

But weather like that is why God made wall tents and woodstoves  ;)

Looks like a helluva hunt.  Is that a frozen booger in your nose... :chuckle:

Nope, he's going for the Hitler look.  Might want to comb a little of that "Just for Men" stuff on that thing. :P

looks like a great hunt. that the kinda thing i miss back in the states.
