My dad has some drainage creeks that flow into Scatter. I have been amazed where I have came across a Salmon that got lost during the floods.

Wasn't an accusation.  Just a fair question considering they were being held by their gill plates and pulled up on the muddy banks, it looked to me they were going to be retained.

Not to light a fire here, but Klickman has a point. Those fish are tough, and 90% of them would be fine, but its definitely best to leave them in the water or at least support them for a picture with a hand under the pec fins and one around the tail. I've seen to many fish take off out into the hole after being handled like that, only to come up floating 5 or 10 minutes later. Thats all, just some food for thought. Good fishin, those late season chums can be more than a hand full! Any steel yet?
