i would love to nail one of those big mid west white tails but i just dont know if i could sit on corn fields like they do. every time i see those hunting shows talking about how tuff there hunt is when there sitting in a blind 50 yards from the truck with a heater all i can think is "you wimps, come chase blacktails" beut of a buck tho not putting it down just commenting in the corn field thing

there's a few aspects of those hunts that are tough...

1-scouting and patterning the deer. you can't just wander out into the treeline around some random cornfield and throw a treestand up.
2-sitting in a treestand all day long. i'd rather run laps up and down the side of swakane canyon than sit in a tree all day long. it is about the most miserable thing in the world.

realize that that is the only way people hunt back east. most don't know what spot and stalk even is. when the hardwoods drop their leaves it is so noisey to walk that you'll never sneak up on a deer...especially a whitetail.

p.s. that is a beast of a whitey buck...congrats to the hunter. neat that the horns look like mule deer horns. real cool.
:fire.:

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield
