Well took the boy an dog out for some grouse an wabbit hunting. Snowman Jr. seen one wabbit but wasn't able to get a shot at it before it disappered. After couple of hours Annbelle finally hit on a grouse in some thick stuff and flushed it 3 times for us, but was to thick for me to get a shot. But boy was it fun. Have never seen my dog go absolutly crazy like she did when she hit the scent of the grouse. Got some pics. Always another day!!!
The last pic was trying the self timer and wasn't able to get annabelle to cooperate, but the boy was ready!! LOL How do I keep the date on the camera from jumping ahead a day? Set it a day behind?

Yeah he gots one, but hunting with dad is way more fun. Still got till the end of the month for grouse and a couple months for wabbits. My boy has been one of my best hunting partners aside from my Dad. God rest his soul.. It was just really nice to get out an walk around the woods and not having to be quiet and having good conversation with him. He enjoys every moment we get to hunt and hunt different things, some new and some we have hunted before... Enjoy taking pics of him every chance I get. Memories that will last a lifetime and to me that's what it is all about, passing on the tradition like our forefathers did.

My dad just hunted deer. I got into the rest on my own, but there wasn't anything that he wouldn't help me accomplish. In his last few years alive I knew he was proud of me and being my dad. Watching me pass it down to my son, His grandson. It will be 1 year on Dec 14 that he passed. But atleast he hung on long enough to spend time alone hunting with his grandson and watching him get his first bear, deer, grouse, geese, ducks and pheasants. Makes me feel like I'm following in his foot steps and very proud of that and to be his son. The memories of him out hunting will always be cherished close to the heart and there is not a moment when my son an me are out that we don't talk about him.

....hope she hunts with you. That is one of the first things you should consider when making life decisions like that or having kids. How will this affect my hunting seasons
. Congratulations.

Snowman, I bet your boy feels the same about you, as you do about your Dad. What an awesome way to spend a day, and what a great collection of memories you and your son both have of your Dad. Thanks for sharing that with us.

the original wedding date was moved due to me have to go elk hunting.... she is the best hunting partner that i have... even if she missed the first pheasant that my new pup pointed.... she'll never live that down! i took her down to TX a few months ago and all we did was spotlight coyotes all night... she loved it out of the one night of hunting we put down over 10 yotes... she personally dropped the hammer on 3 of them and about 100 jack rabbits... i think she enjoys it more sometimes than i do

Snowman,
That is awesome. Your son is lucky to have a Dad that wants to do that kind of stuff with him.
God bless you both.
