  It isn't keeping out the 4-wheelers though.  My wife and I walked in 5 miles into the Ryderwood for late archery and there were 4-wheelers everywhere.

The 4 wheeler thing is frustrating, I talked to the sierra guys about that.  If you can get the ORV # off of the 4 wheeler they can track down the owner and ticket them.  I know it is hard to get this number if they are moving but if you see one parked just jot down the number and let Sierra's security guy know or call the office in Centralia and they will definitely act on it and be very appreciative for the info.

Good luck finding an area away from people in the coweeman. You would be better off behind that gate in stella. I wish they would close the gates in the coweeman.

Just got home from a day in the Coweeman.  Came in from the south.  Found one gated road, which we hiked out.  Was trying to find access to a clearcut we spotted elk in more than a mile off.  Finally figured out they were 1/4 mile in on a posted private road.  We did find some areas worth hiking but nothing turned up.

Nice try though, Sierra wants everyone to be scared....I do agree the 4 wheelers need to go though. But use my KLR 650 for hunting mostly. Being a multi purpose bike they dont tear things up. And will ride behind any gate I can get around. I dont think they are willing to do 75mph down them roads trying to catch me

Either way is trespassing when these areas are closed to motor vehicles. If I see you, I will take a picture of you and make sure that you can be identified along with the background to prove where you are. I will also do my best to make sure that you are convicted of criminal trespass.

OK, we are back in the motel from our coweeman hunt. 8am 1 cow and 2 legal bulls showed up on the road we were walking. 159 yards away with no shot available. could not close the distance to my comfort zone of 100 yards. will be back in the morn to try again. thanks to all who have given their advice.

Wont happen, I carry everthing I need to fix anything on the bike. And with a 250 mile range on the gas tank. I dont use the bike all the time. and try to stay out of Seirra property. I have been caught. but show them my muffler stamp saying US forest service aproved muffler. Show them my shovel and fire extinguisher. My bike is Camoclad and has a gunrack on the back. Not #'s. Plain to see im hunting and not there to rip up the roads. They just say I cant be riding in to hunt and have to leave

Dirtbag, I am guessing that you are on sierra land on their Hamilton tree farm near Mt. Vernon.  Not sure what their policies are there but I am talking about their Ryderwood tree farm in SW Washington and they definitely will not just ask you to leave if you are caught riding behind a gate in an area closed to motorized vehicles.  I like others on this thread will do whatever I can to ensure those riding in walk in only areas are caught and convicted of criminal trespass.
