Browning gold.  Took it to a gunsmith to have it professionally cleaned, and he didn't put it together right.  I didn't test fire it.  Hiked in a couple miles with dekes to hunt a pond, set them up, fired one shot, hunt done.  I was pissed.

NONE of my three 870s have ever failed in the field. Why would anyone shoot anything else?   :P

Punched a primer on my 700, and it blew the tiny little disk back into the firing pin.  Locked it up tight 1000 miles from home.  Took the bolt apart and removed the disc.  Worked fine from that time on.  Had a horse fall on a rifle and totally screwed up the scope....that was a spare rifle hunt from them on.  Always why I bring a spare rifle and binos on all hunts.

Tell me about it.  I think the 870 was the best action I ever had.  It was chanbered full choke only with 3 inch shells, so I sold it.  WORST decision I ever made.  I may not sell another gun.

My 870 jams ever 3 or 4 shells when shooting Blackcloud.  Jams just about every time shooting Winchester trap loads.  Jams so much that I got rid of it.

On the other hand, I don't remember when one of my Browning A5s ever jammed.

A buddy of mine bought an 870 NEW  and first time out was having problems getting the second shot off. I took it apart and the plug was installed backwards in the magazine tube, not allowing the spring pressure to properly eject the shell. Switched it around worked awesome.

The next weekend, I bought an 870 3-1/2" synthetic from my cousin for 200 bucks, he said it wasn't cycling right. Turns out SAME ISSUE. I love the gun and have never had a problem since. Both guns had never been taken apart by my buddy or my cousin, just came that way from the factory.

My girlfriend shoots an A5 light twelve, its a sweet gun never had a problem.

Yep.

Winchester super x2.  Gun shoots one of every 5 shots.  Otherwise I just get a click and a light dent on the primer :bash:

Bought a SBEII and haven't looked back.

Never had a problem with either my 870 remmy or my Benelli SBE.  Trap loads to 3 1/2" magnum turkey loads all cycle well.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

Anyone selling a Benelli SBEII.  I think I am going to pick up another one for a back up.
Cut em!

Dog shook water on my gun today and it froze. It took me 10 min and about 15 missed opportunities on back peddling ducks before I got it working again. :bash:
