Memorial for fallen Lakewood PD Officer's!
« on: December 08, 2009, 02:51:15 PM »
What an awesome procession from McChord airforce base!!! Memorial is awesome and also got to admit shed quite a few tears so far more to come as it's not even halfway through. Also what a great show of support from around the couuntry as well as around the world! Thank you fallen officer's for your sacrifice.   R.I.P. Thoughts and prayer's go out to the family, friends and police personnel around the country!!!!

Yes, a very moving ceremony. Such a tragedy. :(

The 3 most memorable parts for me were the children of Sgt. Greg Richards talking about him, the officer singing "The Dance" (was also played at my dad's funeral), and the radio calls at the very end that were met with silence.  "GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN".

Just saw an interview with a Wyoming officer, he drove the whole way, got here this morning and is heading back now. A bunch from Boston as well and a huge group 1000+ of Canadian Mounted Police and 1,982 cars in the procession.
The things that come to those who wait, may be the things left by those who got there first!

This may sound like I am an ass but I have a question. Do all these officers that attended get payed today for being there or are they doing it on there own time? Just curious.
