Spring Bear harvest stats and draw odds?
« on: December 14, 2009, 08:25:38 PM »
I just moved to the Colville area and have been surfing here for several months.  I am not able to find the stats, but I thought that someone had posted the harvest stats for the spring hunts for NE WA a few months ago?

Now that I am here and can see the areas, it will be easier for me to make a decision on the areas I want to apply for, but I was certain one area was much more productive than the others.  Did the Sherman unit beat all the others?

Thoughts for spring bear draws over here?

I am surprised at the mountains over here and the spring success.  I was expecting the mountains to be taller and have green alpine meadows above tree line.  But it seems they are not tall enough for that.  I think Abercrombie is the tallest peak around and while I have not done to much research on it, what I can see is a bit more sparsly treed up at the top, but it's nowhere near alpine.

As I have mentioned in a few other posts since arriving here, it's much thicker than I expected here and think the hunting here is going to be tougher than I had anticipated.
