Nice pics guys, most of my real good ATL pics were taken pre digital camera.  I need to take some time to scan and post a few more.

Bankwalker, try and find wherever the 4wheelers have not been on a south facing slope, good luck, usually the locals pound it pretty hard wherever they can get in.
In the last 5 years its been terribly crowded unless you get on private ground.
Good luck

Correct me if I am wrong, but aren't they closing down all these areas this year and not opening it up to shed hunting until a certain date?

yes most places have been like that at least at the elk wintering areas until 5/1
then look out its like an adult easter egg hunt

a couple are closed all together like oak creek, and others like the quil/whiskey dick areas are closed to motorized access.
there's still lots of places for nutcases to terrorize the animals with their quads on the winter range.

Here's a few of my favorites.  All have been posted on MM but what the heck.

What was under the snow!  Looked and looked for the match and never found it.  Hard to tell from the pic but that buck would have gone real close to 180.

A whitetail in Chelan County?  :)

Another what was under then snow!  Got the match to this one!

I admit that I'm not a shed hunter, but I've ran across a few. In 2006 I ran across this two point shed while deer hunting during the general season. This is where and how I found it. The rodents chewed up one tine pretty good. Right near this shed I also found the skull of a spike. Winter kill I guess.

I was going through some of the older posts and saw this thread. I wondered about the fourth picture that Lowedog put up. Was that shed really laying like that? Or did you set it there and take a picture of it?

Awesome finds and pictures fella's! I've posted these ATL pics before, but these are my favorites. Found them during the general hunting season.
