Ya he is from our chehalis Wa! Same guy that had the eastside gov tag this year and last. Apparently has the bucks to do what he really enjoys and defenitely gets some monster bulls. I only dream about getting a bull like that once in my life and he gets a couple a year, I'm jealous. nwhunter

Ya, thats Tod Richert from Onalaska, close to chehalis. He owns Richert Shake & Cedar produts in Toledo. Hellava bull, talk about tine length. I heard from one of his friends he didn't kill a bull on the eastside. Nice bull.

I wonder what happened to his antler that looks like a club there on the right side, damaged or something while in velvet. Still a huge bull though. Sure sounds like he has a lot of money to throw around to not harvest an animal in Eastern Washington. Oh well, it goes to a good cause.

Dream hunt and bull for sure.  I bet that tag cost a bit more than the Washington one.

Good for him!!!  I hope I can still get out there and enjoy the outdoors when I'm his age. He cant take the money with him, why not use it to enjoy the time he has left I say. :)

I bet he easily spent tens of thousands of dollars just on the New Mexico tag, definitely something the average joe can't afford.

Why is it everyone has to have permission to post a picture, if they didn't want to be seen with their trophy then why take a picture of it? Someone get some balls and post the picture

Get some balls he says, ya that will help get the pictures posted! I love to see all the pictures too but if someone personally emails me a picture I will not put them out for all to see and send to who knows where without them saying okay. If this means I have no balls then so be it, I am sorry. Some people don't like to see their pic all over the internet and thats their business I would say. Some magazines also want the pics and story before it goes out all over the web too. I knew I shouldn't have said I have the pics expecting this reaction, my bad. nwhunter

I was saying that you should get some balls and post the pics, I was refering to the people that take there damn picture but don't want others to see it, but circulate it through emails instead. If you don't want to be seen in the picture the blurr yourself out of the photo, he has his mug all over the internet for his New Mexico Bull, so it wouldn't hurt to post his washington governor tag bull IMO. Sorry if you thought that statement was directed at you, but hopefully someone will post this that he supposedly shot. I would like to see it and I am sure I am not alone on that one.

I waited for permission to post the Raffle bull out of courtesy for my friend. He is not a member of this site and who knows if he wants his likeness floating around the web. I wanted to know it was OK with him I think if it's a member of this or other sites it's not an issue but these guys are not members on here. Rougheye wasn't a member until his buddy asked if he could post his pics of the Teanaway pig he shot and then he came on and joined to tell his story. I was hoping the same for the raffle winner but it's his choice not to, I'm just glad he let me share.

It is nice to get their permission, but I assume he wants people to see it because he has already started circulating both his washington and New Mexico Bulls through email and on Monster Muleys. Obviously he doesn't object to his face on the internet so there should be no harm and posting his bull from Washington because his bull from NM is posted here and on MM. Really what will it hurt? Nobody is going to say something bad, because he went and spent 42k for a tag.

I won't just assume he wants his pics on a hunting site because I see his N. Mexico bull posted. Who knows how it got posted and maybe he doesn't care but I am going to be courteous and wait and see. If he does care I would never get another pic sent to me I'm sure, so I'll play it safe. I can tell you its a 9x9 and is 380ish  Sorry still no balls ;) nwhunter

then why don't you post the pics off of monster muleys?  or have you lost your balls?

btw i didn't start this thread to start a pissing match to see who has the biggest set, i started it to show a great bull taken by a nice guy who has donated a lot of money to wildlife in several states. take the pissing match elsewhere if you feel the need to snivel.

I agree Jackelope.  I may have read it wrong but bowhuntin made it sound like he had seen pics of the Washington bull on MM's Site.  Thats all.  Thanks for posting the pictures on here.  I'd be really interested in any info on the non-typical blacktail that Richert has in the main office of the sawmill in Toledo...its HUGE!

I know Todd wanted to pull the trigger on a 400" bull the last two years in Wa, but never managed to do so. I had heard that he had someone scouting down in the blues in 06 and had 2 that would go in around 400". Maybe he got tired of trying in Wa and decided to buy N. Mexico's governors tag. I have seen several pictures of some of the animals he's killed over the last few years, one hell of trophy room to say the least. It always helps if you can buy a few governors tags along the way.
