I've got an Olympus 1030 sw.

Got some great underwater, both saltwater and freshwater shots with this camera.

It's been dropped but not abused.

I carry it with me but usually carry another non waterproof camera with me when hiking and hunting as well.
I like to be able to pull the camera out and shoot at a moments notice. The focus when set on auto has somewhat of a "lag" in the focus, which wont allow proper focus for action shots.

Also it will not completely focus on something unless you have a rock solid rest. As I said this happens while in the auto mode. If you have the time or desire to set the exposure, etc. I'm sure you will get good photos as I have.
As far as a point and shoot I would give it a 7 simply for that reason alone. I'll dig up a few photos and post them so you can see the quality.

The Stylus Tough is a great camera. The only negative that i've heard is that they do not hold up well in salt water. I have the Pentax Optio W30 and its been the best camera i've ever had. Taken pictures in saltwater with no problems and have hauled it all over the woods and beaten it up for a few years now. Another good one for the money is the Olympus Stylus Water, its waterproof, 10mp and costs about $189. These are all underwater pictures i've taken with the Pentax. The King was about 15 or 20 feet away thats why it was kind of fuzzy.
I hunt, therefore I am.... I fish, therefore I lie.

I have the Stylus 1050SW.  It is ok I guess.  Maybe I just never learned how to use it right but the pic never seem as clear as my Sony.  But with the nasty weather I hunt in and being able take some abuse it was right for me.  I have not had it underwater yet.  I hate the lens cover on it also.  It is constantly getting opened on its own which can waist the batteries.  You also have to remove the battery to charge it.
Couple of pics taken with the Stylus.

Great underwater pics guys!  I'm kicking my own ass now for not buying the underwater Olympus on closeout at Wal Mart last year for $55. :bash:
