Got a Burris Balistic Plex 3x9 40mm Have had it now for 7 yrs and would not buy another brand. Had it first on a 270 and now it's on my 7mm. It has been thru hell. Feel straight back on it and used it to catch myself before sliding off a cliff after I slipped. Never got knocked off. Shot animals at 50yds all the way out to 550yds, No problems. Plan on buying 2 more when I get a chance.

Just depends on what looks good when you look through it.  Everyone is different.  Personally I have both Burris as mentioned before and Nikon Monarchs.  Tried to convince myself to buy a Leupold, looked through several, even looked through their spotter's before I bought a Nikon Pro Staff.  Have to tell you.......I just do not like the way they work for me.  Have a hard time getting a full view.  It's the only brand I have had this problem with, even with the spotter.

In my opinion........Leupold is way overrated.  Personally I would never buy one.

i would have to agree leopld is way over rated have had both burris is dimes for dollars over leopald scopes same quality same warranty just cheaper but justas goo sorry for bad spelling

Well I hope Burris is good quality.  I just bought a set of bino's from their Euro Diamond line.  Haven't seen them yet, though.

I dont feel Leupold is over rated. Burris make's fine products. Hard to go wrong eather way. I know some Burris products are farmed out to 3rd world countries for production. I thought Burris was 100% American made and was more pro Burris untill I found out that they are not 100% American made. I wounder if Leupolds Rifleman line is made in Portland.

I've tried two so far a, both FF-II's a 2x7 and 3x9 neather were as clear as my Weaver Classic V in 2x7 and 2x10.  The occular lens housing is big enough that they interfere with the bolt handle when mounted low specially with lens covers and the whole occular housing turns to change power and makes flip up covers a pain to use.  I'm pretty partial to Leupold, Weaver and Sightrons with out the FF eye piece, once I focus them I never need to change them.

I've got one Nikkon and one Burris. All my other scopes are Leupolds. That being said, the last of these that I bought was the Burris. It is a 4x16 Signature with the mill dots. I bought it to top off my Sako TRGS chambered in 7.82 Lazzeroni Warbird. I love the scope!! That particular caliber REALLY snorts when you pull the trigger!! And once I had the rifle dialed in I have never had to re-zero it. I'm certainly not going to bash Leupold though. The Leupolds that I have are all straight 2x's that I have on pistols or 3x9 VXII's on some of my other rifles. Those also have been very reliable scopes. That being said, I probably will buy Burris from now on just because thaey don't hurt my wallet quite as bad.

Kent, I have a buddy with the exact same warbird setup, and he's on his 3rd scope.  All I will say, is that least Burris backs up their scopes by sending him new ones.
