Outstanding! Great looking cat are you going to do a rug or mount?

I have been checking around and have been thinking about doing a rug but not sure if I want the mouth open or not.

Not sure how to do another quote but someone asked what unit.  I shot it in GMU 460, near Monroe, kinda

I have a few more pics of the stand and where I was sitting.  Billy, I don't know how to lighten but if you want do your magic again.  And I better get to work if I want to go hunting again.  Still lots of bobs out there!
The stumps are where I sat, and the stand shot has my caller in place and I put my backpack to mark where the cat was.  The pack is camo so that wasn't very bright but you can find it if you look.  The track with shell I took before making my way up.

How much of 'im did you see before you shot? How long between seeing and shooting? How was your heart rate?!?! Did you backtrack to see where he came from?

Michelle said she might have found a closed mouth rug form... after she did mine open mouth. Ask her. Closed mouth is so much more realistic.

Again, really happy for you! Way to go!!!

When I first glimpsed him I seen his back heading under the small pine.  I picked my rifle up as soon as I seen movement.   When I got him in the scope I seen his ears twitching around and he was looking towards my FX3.  I put the crosshairs on his front shoulder and squeezed off a shot.  Honestly it was very automatic.  From when I seen him till I shot was no more than 10 seconds.  Everything happened so fast my heart started pumping wildly after the shooting.  I did not backtrack him but that would have been a great idea.  One thing I did that I never do is take the safety off the AR when I got set up.  Mine is pretty loud and I remember thinking I didn't want that to mess up my chance for a lion.
