Nuttin wrong with 223 for vermin! Cheap cartridge to reload for too.

I think I'd opt for the 22-250 though. I like velocity!

I was a little down on the .223 myself till I started actually connecting with mine. If shots are 300ish or less it's awesome. if they'll be a little further 22-250 would be my choice. I'm very interested in those Tikka's though. I do believe my next rig is going to be a T3 light in .243.  :tung:

I like mine which is in 2506.  I also have a 223 and 22-250 ackley, and yes, the ackley is fast, but I find very little practical diff between the 22's....  The 25 is a step up though.  I'd pick up a 223 if you're going to use it for something like rats/prairie dogs, and yotes.  If just yotes, I'd step up to the 243.

i reload and shoot a 55gr v max out of my AR. but your going to want to look into what the twist is on a tikka in 223, if its faster and i think it is your going to want to stay with a little heavier bullet. and that 22-250 is still on there i was just looking at it. it shows a left hand pic but its a right hand rifle. its been there for a while i bet you could get it for under 500

The 8" twist of the TIkka .223 should handle the 55s with no problem. I would be concerned if shooting anything under 50.
