Tell her/ okay when you get to the dog.  Our Red Setter usually creeps after the bird on her own.  It has it's ups and downs.  Alot of time those birds will sooner or later fly out on the dog but if your dog does not push to close on the bird and you have good legs you can catch up, it may hold tight here and there.  Congrats on your lab our friend has a pointing lab also.

We flushed around 40 birds in 2 days and 1 morning. He locked on 3 birds the rest would run till they ran out of cover and then they would flush. Then We would shoot and hopefully hit :rolleyes:Could have used more hitting :dunno:Oh well the lab did a great job. Thanks for the input.
