I have Ithaca model 37, Remington 870, Benneli Nova and SBEII, and Winchester SX3. If you looking for a new auto I would say the Winchester SX3 or the Browning Silver are two of the best. From what i have found my SX3 and My good friends Silver are unstopable. The SX3 is a little lighter than the silver but they are almost the same gun. I am going to be buried with my 870 and my winchester.

870= unmatched reliability and it's just a little heavy

Bennelli= *click*  :bash:

Winchester/Silver= :IBCOOL: Not that it is a good practice, but i have not cleaned my gun yet this year and it has never failed me. Can't say the same for the Bennelli

Also, My little bro has the Berreta Extrema 2 it seems to be rock solid. I don't care for the feel of the gun but it is holding up great. It's just to long for me.

If it feels right buy it. Guns are like pants if they don't fit you right you will end up looking like an idiot.

Just seconding opinions here, but yes you get what you pay for.  If you really want a good semi-auto, I don't think $350 is going to hack it.  Love my Beretta (Extema 2), but its a $1000 gun.  You can get a Remy 11-87 for maybe 700.  But expect to nudge the grand mark for a Beretta, Browning or Benelli that can handle 3 1/2 in shells.  If price is the determinant, then get a solid pump like an 870 (total workhorse) or a Benelli Nova and you'll have a long-lasting, good-performing gun.  If you try to economize too much, I think you'll have a while to regret it.

 :yeah:

Just would add mossberg 835 to list of pumps.  Mine has been a workhorse for over 15 years.

Look on the gunsamerica and gunbroker web sites.  I was in the market for a new auto loader and found a SX3 on gunsamerica and picked it up for 815 to my FFL.  Let me tell you it is one of the nicest shotguns I have shot

Think I'm leaning towards either the 11-87 or the 870.  Both proven reliable and both on the lower end of the price range.  I'm in no hurry to get it at the moment, since I probably wont be doing any more bird hunting for the year anyways.  But if I find anything different that catches my eye, who knows what I'll get.  Feel free to make any other suggestions.  Preferably under a grand.  But hey, it sure cant hurt to look.

Heck you could get both an 11-87 and 870 for under a grand if you look hard enough.
Buy a Browning... :chuckle:
