its bs, i dont have to shoot animals but we all should still be able to pursue them atleast most of the year. right now im not picky about the weather i hound hunt every opportunity i can, i just wish i new someone with a tag

the boot hunting really screwed us, more than what i realized when i first read the new rules. in a few years i think they will close hounds for cougar if it keeps going in the same direction. its easy for them to shut down hound hunting and its gona be really hard to get it back once its gone. what we need is some real sportsman in the wdfw, i may have a new career direction.....

Before "96" you had to draw a special permit to hunt them at all.

the boot hunting really screwed us, more than what i realized when i first read the new rules. in a few years i think they will close hounds for cougar if it keeps going in the same direction. its easy for them to shut down hound hunting and its gona be really hard to get it back once its gone. what we need is some real sportsman in the wdfw, i may have a new career direction.....

Huh??  I thought they just reopened cougar for hound hunters.....  Not having hounds, it kind of pisses me off that I can't go anywhere/anywhen I want to hunt cougars this year.  Don't get me wrong, I thought it stupid to close cougar for hounds to begin with, but it seems it is harder to get them without so why the big restrictions on people that try really hard or just get lucky?

Just wondering, not looking to get anyone riled up.   :)  I was really looking forward to doing some calling this winter but did not hear anything about boot tags before it was too late.

Just talked with My brother - He took one tom in PO county (90lbs little fellow) and it was the cat that filled the quota. He has still been running cats to keep his dogs working. He said that too many people shot females and thats why the quota filled up so fast. He has treed 11 cats since the quota was filled but none of any size (140Lb max). Here are a couple pics of a 100lb tom he treed a couple days ago. When I am over there in March were going to go out and try to find more.

I saw this weather this afternoon. Yucky... Wish its Colder than today I would be gone for sure by now over Idaho St Joe but Its RAINNNY over there little but I am staying home this weekend. My wife just took out 500 dollar out of our bank. I said Hey WHY, She said Why because u spend Over 500 dollar going hunting two weekends to Idaho. I guess My wife is right. Part of Marriage!  :bash:  Ha..  Trust me, I love her a lot and want her to feel fair for both of us.  I wonder what she gonna spend on 500 ???  I think she is going save it up to buy a Horse Trailer! I hope so...  :'(
