spot hogg whammy

what are your guys opinions/experience with this rest? I'm getting mixed responses from the guys Ive talked to. my wife may already have bought this for my Christmas present. if so its cabelas and i could take it back. I'm really interested in this rest and want to try it out. think its worth giving it a run and maybe taking a loss on having to sell it used if its not what it says it is? any opinion welcome

I put this rest on my bow over a year a go. I haven't had any problems with it. It is a great rest in my opinion.

did you have to adjust it a lot at first or did you find once it was set up it was good? i really like this rest but im a newbie to bows and the timeing/set up of them. not that i cant figure it out i just want to know how they are

I have the 5 pin and my boy has the 7 pin and so far no problems we like them but have;nt used any other rests so don;t know what is best.

My advice is to go to a pro shop where they will set it up for you. Sportsman warehouse in Federal Way set mine up and with one or two minor adjustments has been just fine. Paper tuned real easy and hasn't needed any adjustment since.

One other thing i really like about this rest is that it is always in the up position, unlike other drop aways where the prongs come up when you draw and can possibly pop off the rest if you draw to quickly. It is well made and durable. If it is set up properly it is a great rest.

I have been using my Whammy for two years.
I like the positive adjustments and the up position all the time.
All of their products (Spot Hogg) are first class and their support is excellent.
I got the Whammy fist and then the Hogg IT, 7 pin, 010, wrapped sight with the light...excellent.
I also got the B-Stinger.
