Cool. Just a suggestion for consideration...I have found that a lag bolt through the wood into the antler on the same axis as the main beam will provide good insurance against the epoxy failing over time. I have used bondo and lag bolts with good success, even outdoors. If you use a drill bit slightly smaller than the lag bolt (1/4" drill for 5/16" lag bolt, for example), you get a good bite and a secure mounting. I've made ABS or PVC pipe risers off the wood to simulate the pedicle as well. Once snugged down you can apply bondo around the bases and shape them just right. Cover with buckskin and it comes out pretty nice. Just food for thought. I'm working on a set now so I'll try to come back and add some pics to clarify all this.
