Question about prices
« on: December 25, 2009, 02:11:03 AM »
So I want to have a full body mount done on a bobcat, when I finally shoot one.  Anyone know what price range I'm going to be looking at?  Also if anyone knows the price on head mounts for moose or caribou that would be much appreciated as well.

Jburke

On a caribou I am charging 700.00

On a moose I am charging 975.00

On a bobcat I am charging - 625.00

I have a one year turn around.

You can look at some of my work at www.alivingmemorytaxidermy.com      I am continuing to update my site as I go along. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

With whatever taxidermist you decide to use, would be a good idea to contact him/her and ask some specific questions. Like how do they want it cut, what you can do to make sure that your mount comes in excellent condition.

Thanks

Jburke,

Their really is no set price range for a mount.  It all depends on who you want to take it to and how much you want to pay.  Befor dropping an animal off keep one thing in mind.  Is it worth saving $100 - $200 on a mount that will last 10 - 20 years and look like crap or spending that extra $100 - $200 and having it last til long after your gone while still looking as good as the day you picked it up?

Bobcat I am at $635

Caribou I am at $695 for a shoulder mount.

Moose I am at $975 - $1175 for a shoulder mount.
