Set your alarms.
« on: December 25, 2009, 07:36:32 PM »
7:30..........Christmas is wrapped up.

Who is gonna hit it tomorrow morning?

Sober up, pack up, tell the womenfolk you don't know when you will be back........

Hitch the boat, tie them leaders if that is your thing and know full well that the meat of the hatchery steel season is upon the morrow.

Y'all best be gittin up early.........race to the launch is ON.

However, if you have played that game before..........battin cleanup has it advantages.

K-16's gonna git some exercise...............................
..............as always, offering sobering truth.

Yotes are safe by me for a long time, steelhead on the other hand.....

So how'd everyone do? We had to work for them. Hooked 4 landed 3 in 2 days. Nice big fish. 14 pound hen, 16 pound buck and one beautiful chrome Wild fish pushing the magical mark (20) released unharmed without touching the bank. 3 drift fishing and the Wild on a plug.

One takedown, no sticky.

One fairly large dolly, who was granted a stay of execution.

Retying, regrouping, new river system tomorrow.

Cold day. MacNaughty's was required to make the morning more comfortable.

Give a splash to the fish gods, at the beginning of the day....... a ritual proven to make K-16's more palatable.

Made my slump more bearable too.

TS Why did you save to sober part of your check list for the river?  You had to be sober to drive there but drunk to fish? That was a mighty Manly sized bottle!  ;)  Apparently you caught a buzz.
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Saving comes best when you buy in bulk, hence the king sized decanter.

Aint gots to git buzzed to work the water, but it does me right when I see a long, cold drift with not too many fish around.
