why dont you just put it in the pawnshop and renew it ever 3 or 4 months as necisary.  the interest would be minimal and it would be safe.  or let someone you know hold onto it for you. i wouldnt give up a good gun just because.

:)Looks like a good buy to me, all you need is someone who likes the Vanguard (my opinion it is a better gun than the Mark5) and the 257 WB. cartridge!! unfortunately neither is for me.

Come on you guys somebody wants it!!

It's a good price. I would not lower it. Although I prefer the Mark V it is something I would consider buying except I already have a rifle in 25 caliber.

did someone really say the vanguard is better than a mark 5? i hope it was a joke! as for 500.00 i would say its a good buy,the calibers a little spendy.

Better might be relative. It's a pretty practical proposal. The rifles are not that vastly different. Regardless- the price seems reasonable. Probably good for someone who handloads.

i bought this rifle new and can vouch for the history of it and the rounds fired.
it's definitely a shooter...

About what - it being made in Japan? I know - I have several scopes made in Asia but all my rifles are either European or American made. However technology these days permits manufacturers all over the world to build good rifles.

If you dont sell it, and you are going to help protect our country. Put it in my safe and get it when you return no problem. Mark
