It seems to be the luck of the draw with them. You need to find out what models are the better version, some companies that have made them sucked it up. I do know the Marlin Papoose has a really good reputation so you might give that a try also.
Never, ever let Creed hold you baby, it will ruin it and you will have to get another.

the only complaint I have is the barrel can start loosening up after some shooting causing jams so you need to just check and make sure it stays tight.

yeah thats the problem i get when the barrel warms up and the nut gets a little loose. seems to be by the second or third mag of consecutive shooting it gets to that temp.

its a fun gun for plinking, and cheap to shoot, but i personally wouldnt want it for a "survival rifle". dont get me wrong i'd rather have it than nothing but it would be my first choice.

I've never shot or handled one, but with the barrel that unscrews i would think you'd have similar problems. What are you looking to use this for? Do you have your heart set on a .22? Keltec makes an AWESOME folding rifle that will fit into a backpack and is still operable from the folded position. It also uses AR-15 mags so if you already have those laying around they would be dual purposed.

I know a couple of people who have them, they all lover them. Accurate and very durable, have not heard anything about the barrel unscrewing, but that does not mean it does not happen. Based off the Model 795. They are not hugely popular, not many takedowns are, but the people who have them don't get rid of them. Just read up, owners on RFC say the barrel wrench is needed.

If you are looking at an AR7 try Majestic Arms M4A, they are spendy but the company makes decent products.

For $100 it's worth it IMO. Just keep in mind you probably will need to keep the barrel nut tight after a few mags.
