Jack, the land where I been seeing the wolves is all private, and the guy is very touchy about anybody getting close. There is a big area of public land connecting on the north side with access. By then there will be public land out from under the snow where you could park your trailer and have a short drive.  Or if you could lay out and be in a good position come first light.  I would gladly point you in the right direction.

Mulehunter, I have lots of questions, actually the females body looked heavy, about ready to have pups, or already did and has really bagged up and then full of meat for the pups?  She was the one that drug the deer around level on that steep hill, seems she wouldn't do that with a bunch of pups in her.

Ugh... I'd be forced to respect a land owners wishes I guess.  I still wanna come over there once the pass is open and take a look see.. I'll see what I can fit in with the boys sports schedule. I'm taking some time off one way or the other. I'd really like to watch those doggies even if its spotting scope distances.

I especially like how Idabooner references the hierarchy or apparent status of each of the doggies he's witnessing.

Thank's for the complements guys. If I see them again I'll let you know. There's getting to be a lot of green area so the deer will scatter out and the wolves will move back with them, then soon to the fawning areas.

Don't worry about the fawns, they are YOUNG and STRONG, the wolves won't bother them.
