I have a RR and 3 Frankensteins, The RR is nice but I really don't think it's all that much superior to the rest if any. I would look into Model 1 sales. Good prices for the complete guns or uppers and seems to be good quality. Dtech makes a good one, just depends on your pocketbook. The one thing I have noticed is you are the kind of guy that likes to add stuff on and change parts like stocks etc you might just want to build one.

Also, check out RGuns.  I got both my ARs from them... great prices for uppers/lowers/complete guns!  The have a 20" free-float upper with my name one it!  :chuckle:

Dang you are smart Falfire!
I read that Bushmaster builds all the 223 models for Remington sales and DPMS builds all the other calibers and the R25. don't know fer sure tho.

Sorry Carl,  :dunno: I just have a thing for bad info being repeated out here. Oly is good stuff, you know that.

Yes Sir, you would be correct, Bushmaster makes the Remington R-15 and DPMS makes the R-25 308 based guns.

FALfire....Thanx for the enlightenment. You wrote a few thing I did not know. For the record, I do own one piece for my AR-45 that was made by at the time... SGW. I have a .45acp upper mounted on a Pac West Arms receiver. The upper was made by them. It does work very well. I went one step farther than there converstion. I use 30 grease gun mags and  not the 16 round uzi mags. I am just not a fan of there stuff.  I am sure that there MR&D has improved there process to keep up with technology.  When the day is over...if it goes bang...it's a good thing!

One thing that you should know about remingtons.  Nothing negative but the r-15 is actually made by bushmaster and the r-25 is made by dpms.  All 3 are owned by the parent company cerberus.  So if you do find a remington that you like, you are essentially paying for a camo bushmaster.  I haven't had any problems with my bushmaster however.  I would suggest shopping around though.  You may find a gun you like, but the shop 5 miles away may be selling it for $50 less.  When we are talking about dropping a grand on a new gun, every little bit helps.
