I rock some Salomon Exit Sport GTX, I prefer lightweight footwear. rather bundle up on the socks and be able to move about. Should be able to find them under $100 pretty easy.

Check out Zamberlan, they make a lot of different models, made in Italy...Gore-Tex, Vibram...you can't go wrong, and I can get you into a pair if you're interested, just let me know style and size.  Thanks

I've worn out 4 sets of soles on Vasque Sundowners...love'em. Not a good boot for Snowy weather. I did do a couple Snowshoe trips on'em but they're not warm enough for lounging in the snow.

Been using Cabela's Trail Runner Pac's for several years...year around...a bit warm in the summer. But they're very strong, stable, roomy. I'm pretty serious about footware these days, since diabetes showed up I don't wear shoes, boots etc...I wear Foot Armor..
